ANN PRASHAN and GOD BHARAI KARYAKRAM

We have organized ANN PRASHAN & GOD BHARAI programme with ICDS Deptt at AWC, Gopalpura Agra. Mr. Chandra Bhan Moray, Ward Member inaugurated the programme. Mr. Ravi Kashyap, President (SNBS) addressed the programme. Ward Member Mr. Chandra Bhan Moray introduces with the participants. Mr. Chandra Bhan Moray advised for distribution of delivery kit to the beneficiaries. This should be used during delivery to ensure five cleans.  Mr. Ravi Kashyap gave brief introduction of SNBS (Sri Niroti Lal Buddha Sansthan).He gave emphasis on exclusive breast feeding upto 6 mths of the baby. Then he shared experiences of working in the slums area and told about ANN PRASHAN and GOD BHARAI is the tradition to mark the vital moments of the life. Ms. Manju Devi, AWW enquired about health of pregnant women.

In this ceremony the child is given semisolid food. The food is rice pudding which is neither drinks nor food, is popular and liked by the child. The ingredients of pudding are honey, butter, basil leaf and holy water .It is been served to the child and then semi solids are started to the Child in it meal. Usually it is started at the age of 7 mths of the child.

As stated in the scriptures that timely starting of the semisolids will increase the intelligence, and personality. As per Rituals our Mind, Character and Personality depends according to our Food.

God Bharai

God Bharai is an interesting north Indian Hindu ceremony which is also performed in other parts of the country. In Bengal it is known as Shaad, in Kerala the ceremony is called Seemandham and in Tamil Nadu the Valakappu is the equivalent of the God Bharai. In Hindi God Bharai literally means to ‘fill the lap’ with abundance. 





GOD BARAI is doing When a pregnant woman has completed seven months of gestation period, the baby is assumed to be viable and in a safe phase. So, the celebration is usually at the end of the seventh month or in the eighth month to welcome the little one to the family and literally fill the “mother-to-be’s” lap with gifts and fruits to bless her with the abundant joys of motherhood. Mr. Ravi Kashyap, PD SNBS and Ms. Manju Rani AWW fill the lap of mother to be, during the GOD BHARAI programme with sweets and fruits. 25 bowls have been distributed in them by SNBS during the programme. Biscuit and sweets distributed to the participants.


 Ms. Shaista Khan ORW, SNBS gave brief presentation on the programme goal and objectives & strategies of the programmes.He told about counseling after delivery/abortion for using FP methods and motivate them for using FP methods and told about permanent FP methods and tempers FP methods.

“STOP CHILD LABOUR” Rally

Children are assets of the country and build the country for the future progress. Child labor is the stigma for the society. Some children sacrifice their childhood for the sake of living. They toiled hard to earn bread and butter for the family. At the age of games and naughtiness they are worried about their living and doing some hazardous jobs. To mark the efforts against child labor a rally was organized on 12/06/2011, International Day against Child Labor by labour deptt and partner organizations. It was started from Collectrate and end at Eklavaya Stadium, Agra.

          Mr.Deeptman Bhatt, Project Director, Notational Child Labor Project / Assistant labour commissioner flagged the rally from Collectrate at 7:15 am on 12/06/2011 to eradicate child labor from society.

        Sri Niroti Lal Buddha Sansthan (SNBS) participated in the event with the team of 102 participants. They have actively participated in the Stop Child Labour rally on 12/6/11 with the team of 102 peoples (50 Children and 52 other team members) in the dynamic leadership of Mr. Ravi Kashyap, President SNBS. We voiced slogans against child labour.i.e.

 ABHI KARANI HAMKO KHEL PADAI, MAT KARAVAO HAMASE KAMAI II.
RAM KE BACHCHE MAN KE SACHCHE, KITAB KI JAGAH DOHE RIKSHEII

BACHCHO KO KAM SE AAJ HI HATANA HAI, BACHCHO KO AAJ HI SCHOOL ME DAKHIL KARANA HAI.
HAM SABAKA HO YAH SAPNA SIJHIT HO HAR BACHCHA APNA.
SAJA KA HAI INTJAM, BAL SHRAMIKO SE MAT LO KAM.

We raised slogans throw music sound system and drums (DHOL).People got attention through Dhol and sound system and get aware of child labor. The slogan templates (Slogan Takhte) were present in the hands of children; they were raising slogans against child labor. Children and   SNBS staff used printed caps & T shirts in the rally which were marked with the slogans against child labor. Lunch packs were managed for children at the end of the rally.

The participatory children enjoyed the event and danced at the end of the rally on the rhythm of the Dhol. The participation of the organization was appreciated by the Deptt and the other participants.
